Commercial Performance Certificates

Commercial EPCs

Commercial Energy Performance Certificates are required when you let or sell a commercial property. When letting a commercial property you must comply with the Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards. Our experienced assessors can provide specific recommendations on how to improve your EPC to the required rating.

Areas We Cover: Commercial EPCs – North West

Commercial Energy Performance Certificates from £115

To keep our prices as competitive as possible, rather than giving flat rate fees for commercial EPCs based on size, we prefer to quote specifically to the building. The more information you can provide will help keep the cost to a minimum.

The information we require from you and why we require it in order to give you as accurate a quote as possible, are as follows:

Address: This is needed to identify the location and type of the property.

Approx. Size: We require this in order to estimate the amount of time and effort required for the assessment, as well as the cost of the EPC. The size of the property can affect the complexity of the calculation.

Floor Plans (if available): This is helpful for the assessor to have, in order to plan the site visit and collect data more efficiently. Floor plans can also provide useful information about the layout and dimensions of the building. Floor plans are the best way to keep costs down.

Your Commercial Energy Obligations

Commercial properties that are rented or sold need to have Commercial Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs). These documents show how energy efficient the properties are, using a rating system from A to G, where A is the best and G is the worst.

The law requires landlords and owners of commercial properties to follow the Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES) when they let their properties. This means that they have to improve the energy efficiency of their properties to at least an EPC E rating, unless they have a valid exemption. The MEES aim to reduce the energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions of commercial buildings, as well as to improve their quality and comfort for the tenants and buyers.
